Dear Ones,
Happy Valentines Day!!! I’ve always been bold in every other area of my life. Except love. So this year, I’m opening to love in a way I never have before – and it would mean a lot to me if you could take a few minutes to play matchmaker! I know the best love connections can be found through other like-minded friends. Will you play? If so, please share the note and *photos* below with 3-5 great guys in your circle of family/friends/colleagues that you think might be a good match!
Here’s a little more about me and the type of man that moves me.
I’m a soulful, creative, compassionate woman. My ideal man is (35-48) fun, passionate, loving, loyal, ambitious, spiritually grounded and family-oriented. Don’t let the double Ivy-league degree fool you – I’m a South Bronx/Harlem native with a little “round the way” girl vibe. After my adventurous 20’s (ask me about the time I fed a tiger) and contemplative early 30’s (with lots of international travel sprinkled in) I’m ready to settle down. I love to dance, water-ski, hike and host dinner parties but I also appreciate many moments of meditative stillness, reading, listening to the rain, cuddling with someone special, taking rose petal and honey baths together, watching an indie flick, maybe making one of our own. I enjoy cooking (Brazilian, Indian, Italian, Jamaican) and hope we can throw down in the kitchen together sometime. On rotation in my iPod you’d hear samba, hip-hop, dancehall, soca, gospel, flamenco, arias and African drumming. My favorite writers: Toni Morrison, James Baldwin, Paulo Coelho, Khaled Hosseini, Lucille Clifton and Rumi. I am a writer, poet, activist and philanthropic strategist. I’ve done grassroots organizing, founded a successful youth program in Brazil, and consulted with major foundations in the US, South Africa and Brazil. A man who is community-minded, with a heart for social justice would inspire me.
I’m ready for the love of my life – my would-be husband – someone who would like to build a family together and who loves children as much as I do. If you’ve read this and feel some synergies, let’s connect and see where a conversation takes us: [email protected] or leave a voicemail telling me why you’d think we might be a good match: 206-888-5676.
